Another CASE

Hello! I hope your weekend has plenty in store for you. I have one more CASE to share this week. One of the Pretty Pals, Linda Callahan, is such a fine artist! She really has a way with color and playful layouts. I loved this card from a week or so ago, and I decided to give it try with my own twist. I chose different designer paper, colors and a different stamp set. Enjoy!

Here you can see how the blooms just float on top of the greenery. Please let me know how you think I did CASEing Linda's card! I do enjoy every comment.

Praying for You CASE

It's time for a CASE card. This is what I do when I need to be productive, but have a creative block! I saw Mary Fish's card and I loved the colors in the International Bazaar designer series paper. Mary is the fearless leader of her Stampin' Pretty Pals, and I am so blessed to be one of them! I used different stamp sets, different color ribbon, different embellishments and a different punch. I changed it up a bit. I really love how it came out. Thank you, Mary!

You can see the Bitty Buttons are backed with Daffodil Delight card stock that I punched from the Small Heart punch--a perfect fit!

I hope you enjoyed today's card. Please let me know in the comment section. For all of your Stampin' Up! supplies, please use my Website to order.

PPA137-Sketch Challenge

Welcome to the Pals Paper Arts Challenge 137! We love to inspire you to create using any products you like! Here, I created a 3-D card that is suitable for giving in person. I will probably use a clear envelope in this case.

You can see that I chose to flip the sketch--perfectly admissible! The sketch is only a starting point!

I used a print from Floral District designer series paper, then layered on another print die cut using the Paper Doily die cut. I matched the card base, ribbon and button knot to the Paper Doily cut out color, Daffodil Delight.

Across the top, I popped out my sentiment from Blessings From Heaven using the banner from Petal Cone Die in my Big Shot.

My flower is made using Rose Red card stock. I Scallop-punched out one base, and three extra punched scallops for the fluffy petals. I scrunched up each of the three extra scallops and opened them several times. Then I folded each one into quarters and used Sticky Strip to adhere each quarter onto 1/3 of the base Scallop circle. After I adhered them, I peeled the layers of each of the mushed up circles to fluff the flower! Easy and fast!

In the middle of my flower, I used the new Vintage Faceted Buttons, adhering it with Mini Glue Dots. On top of the button, I added a teeny knot of 1/8" Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon.

Under my fluffy flower, I used two strips of 5/8" Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon to look like a ribbon award.

I hope you enjoyed looking and that you are inspired to create your own card, scrapbook page, book mark or anything else using paper! I would LOVE to read your comments!

MOJO Monday #246

I'm trying to keep up the pace! I have made a lot of cards with new products since June 1st. Today I had to take a breath, but then I noticed that MOJO246 was a sketch made by my upline, Mary Fish! I couldn't resist. I think my card could be given to a male or female. If I knew it was going to a female, I would definitely "pearl up" some of the DSP!

Instead of using a button or other embellishment for the circle, I used "hi" from Fabulous Phrases, punched it out with a 1/2" circle and matted it with a 3/4" circle punch. I made a 1/16" punch for the Linen Thread to go through and positioned the thread onto the right side of this card element instead of the right. (Remember the sketch is a starting point!)

For the three elements on the right side, I chose to punch some of the Comfort Cafe designer series prints using my Postage Stamp punch. I framed them with Cajun Craze card stock. Both elements were matted in Summer Starfruit card stock and added to the Soft Suede card base.

I hope you enjoy my card and that you will take the time to leave your comments below. I read EACH one and enjoy them very much!

A Cherry Birthday

I was so excited to have this hostess stamp set, A Cherry On Top! It' so cute and has many treat images for all of your sweet tooth moments!

You can see the shine of the embossed "glass" dome just over the cherry on top of the heart frosted cupcake! I used White Stampin' Emboss powder after stamping my dome with White Craft Ink.

I thought that using Basic Black for my card base was very dramatic. I love how it looks with the Regal Rose dotted Patterns Designer Series Paper and the Primrose Petals cake stand. The knotted Riding Hood Red  3/8" Taffeta ribbon ties it all together for a birthday card that will surely please! The entire treat is die cut and framed using the Labels Collection Framelits. They are popped up over the card base and a sidebar of Whisper White cut and embossed using the Adorning Accents Edgelits and Embossing Folders.

Variations on Congratulations--Which Is Your Favorite?

I got inspired to use Betsy's Blossoms by this post from my upline and Pretty Pals leader, Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty.

I used a different color of ink, a different layout and different embellishments, but you can definitely tell I was working off of Mary's idea.

After making the above card so much like Mary's, I decided to really play with the background more and this is what I came up with.

Still having fun, I thought I'd girl-up the card a bit and came up with this simple and quick card. You can see that one or two simple stamp sets and a few embellishments can really take you down several paths.

Which card to you like most? I'd love to see your comments and favorites.

You Are A Blessing

I always joke with my husband that he's not my father, so I don't get him a Father's Day card, but I do love to tell him how much he means to me and how he has been a great father to our 4 children.

This is the card I made for him this year. I featured the wonderful *new* Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper. This is a collection of glossy, raised patterns printed on heavyweight Natural paper. Patterns appear brown and glossy and include woodgrain, flourishes, flowers and sheet music. You can use these for backgrounds, in your Big Shot with box or favor dies. The possibilities are endless and make it look like you spent much more time on your project or gift than you really did!

In this close up you can see the shine on the raised pattern. LOVE. I hope you have a great day celebrating all of the fathers in your life! Do you see those CUTE mini stamp shapes? They are punched out easily using the Little Labels Punch Pack. I accented them with Silver Mini Brads. The sentiment from Blessings from Heaven stamp set is professionally die cut using the Apothecary Accents Framelits.

Praying for You

I am really loving this Floral District designer series paper. There are so many options for color combinations and print combinations. I made this sympathy card for a friend whose mom passed away recently.

For the flowering plant, I used one of the stamps from Thoughts & Prayers. I colored it using Stampin' Write Markers and then colored in the teeny middles with a Stampin' Write Marker as well.

The sentiment fits right into the Large Oval punch and I embellished it with tiny Basic Pearls. I framed the oval with an Apothecary Accents Framelit die cut from one of the Floral District prints, which works out perfectly on this shape, I think.

Inside: I don't usually stamp much or decorate the inside of a card, but this card was special. I used the tree image from Thoughts & Prayers and kept it just Lucky Limeade ink, but to keep the subtle color, I stamped it off on a sheet of scrap paper first.

Adding a few mats and layers really helps give a card some weight and a bow to tie it all together really completes this look. Thanks for looking! Please leave me a comment, I LOVE to read them all!

Happy Weekend!

"For You" Anniversary

My sister and her husband are celebrating a special anniversary, so I made this card. I kept it simple, but I really LOVE this Framelit from Apothecary Accents. It cuts out so smoothly and makes your card element look so professional!

This stamp from Layered Labels has a lot of solid space in the background. When using the NEW Stampin' Pads, the ink coverage is much better, but this time I used one of our older pads. Still lookin' good!

Thank you for stopping by and I REALLY appreciate all of the nice comments on the Blog Hop yesterday! I love to read them all and they make me smile!

Pals New Catalog Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals New Catalog Blog Hop! The Stampin' Pretty Pals are excited to share some fabulous cards and projects showcasing our favorite products from the New Stampin' Up! Catalog. Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-up below and you'll be back on track.

NEW: gorgeous Dahlia "buttons." These are Gumball Green. I can see so many uses for these and they are actually smaller than I thought they looked in the catalog.

NEW: Underneath those Dahlias are one of the shapes from Little Labels Punch Pack. There are three different label shapes in the pack. And the "birthday" banner is cut out using the Bitty Banners Framelits. There are three shapes in the pack.

I slipped a gift card into the Petite Pocket die. It's the perfect size.

This bright card is made using one of the prints from the NEW International Bazaar Designer Series paper. The sentiment is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set.

Also NEW is this beautiful edging made using the Large Scallop Edgelit with the   Delicate Designs Embossing Folder. This comes as a set of two embossing folders. It looks like fabric, doesn't it?

I hope you enjoyed these two projects using just SOME of the new things I received from my first catalog order. There is still more to share, so visit often!

Now hop along for more inspiring ideas from Mikki Sarkisyan at Mikki's Creative Corner, stop number 26 on the Pals New Catalog Blog Hop. Thanks for "hopping" by!
