Love and Laughter Wedding Wishes

I was inspired by Lori at Stamping Addict for this card. I needed Pumpkin Pie to be the color so I could match the wedding invitation and ceremony colors. I hope you enjoy looking, and I really have enjoyed your comments on all of my posts, so please keep it up!

Here you can see that I used Stampin' Dimensionals to serve up this wedding cake. The words in White are embossed. I stamped them using Craft Ink onto Pumpkin Pie card stock and then heat embossed them using White Embossing Powder. The cake is presented on a "platter" with a Pinking Hearts border punch. The cake top is a punched Itty Bitty Flower from the Just Add Cake designer series paper.

I'm not sure it shows, but I used Shimmery White card stock to emboss with the Square Lattice Embossing folder and my Big Shot. Then I "smooched" it with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz! Shimmery!

PPA133-SKETCH!

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Pals Paper Arts Challenge #133-Sketch by Margaret Moody!

My colors were chosen with this print from Summer Smooches designer paper in mind. I was not sure what to do with the circle part of this sketch, and then I took another look at the Paper Doily Die and thought if I snipped the inner circle out, I'd have the perfect size for my square card! It worked out perfectly. Instead of using paper elements for my vertical strips, I used two colors of seam binding and tied them up with knots.

Banner end was created using my (retired) photo corner punch. Notice my sentiment? It is from a soon-to-retire stamp set called "Grateful Greetings." If you must have this set, you must purchase it before May 31st! (116511 $36.95) There is a host of sentiments in this set for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine's Day. Click HERE to see 14 cards/projects I made using this set.

PPA132 Color Challenge

Hello! Welcome to the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge! Our colors are Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip. My photo makes my Certainly Celery look a lot brighter than it is in real life! The photos below show a more true color.

I chose a square card, cutting my Pretty In Pink card stock to 5 x 10" and scoring and folding at 5". I attached a 4-3/4" square piece of Chocolate Chip card stock that I ran through my Big Shot with the Small Dots Texturz Plate. It adds a more subtle texture than the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

The next layer was a Pretty in Pink print from Flirtatious Specialty designer series paper. This lace print is so feminine!

  • My flower was created by punching Scallop circles from Pretty In Pink and Whisper White. Then I wrinkled them up like I was going to throw them away! I did that a few times, then ran them through my Paper Crimper a few times. At this point, the fibers are broken down and I simply peeled the layers apart. Each Scallop turned into two tissue or fabric-like petals. Then I glued them on top of each other, alternating the scallops and the colors.
  • For the middle of my flower, I used a Certainly Celery heart from the Heart 2 Heart punch. A Whisper White flower from Boho Blossom punch topped with a pink button from Twitterpated Buttons helped me finish the my bloom. I tied a piece of White Baker's Twine in the center of the button.
  • Underneath the flower, I used the 5-Petal punch to create leaves by cutting it into two pieces using Certainly Celery card stock.

Here you can see my sentiment from the Elements of Style stamp set. I stamped it in Chocolate Chip ink onto Whisper White, then punched it out with the 1" Circle punch and matted it with more dotted Chocolate Chip from the Designer Label punch.

Underneath that, I added another Designer Label punched in Pretty In Pink then snipped in half horizontally. I added a half circle of pearls on the top and bottom. A lone pearl decorates the center of the 1" circle. This element is popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals over a Certainly Celery Scallop Trim Border punch.

I'm glad you stopped by to check out my Pals Paper Arts offering. Now it's your turn to use these colors to create and join us!

Quick and Easy Easter

If you are looking for a last-minute Easter greeting idea, this card is quick and easy! I hope you enjoy it and will leave your comments below. You could use any card stock color for an accent, and even use any die cut shape you like.

I used the stamp set Crosses of Hope. I shadow-stamped by using two different shades of purple to stamp my cross image. I used Wisteria Wonder underneath Concord Crush. Then I added some sparkle to the cross in celebration of *new* life by using the Basic Rhinestones that come in a line, cutting them to the length needed for this cross shape.

You can see how I added dimension to my card by popping up the Framed Tulip border and the cross image that is stamped onto a Framelits Label die cut and then matted with a larger Label size in Concord Crush.

I hope you have a blessed day on Easter!

Easter Cross Card:
Card Stock: Whisper White, Concord Crush
Stamps: Crosses of Hope
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush
Big Shot: Framelits Labels, Framed Tulips Embossing Folder
Embellishments: Basic Rhinestones
Adhesives: Snail, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals

Easter

Here is one of the Easter cards I will be sending this year and the card my March Workshop group made last week. It is fun to put together with lots of texture, but doesn't take too much time.

Close up of the textures and dimensions. I hope you like my colors and the way I used the Crosses of Hope stamp set. Please leave your comments, I thank you for each one! If you have any questions, please email me directly. Thanks to all of you who participated in the Sale-A-Bration!

Don't forget the Summer Smooches promotion going on April 1-30th only!
