Beau Chateau Package Tie and This Week's MDS Releases

Here is my completed gift bag tag. Below you will see what I began with. This is a die-cut tag from the Side Notes (122379) Beau Chateau package. These tags coordinate with the Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper (122357) as well as the entire Beau Chateau Product Suite found on pages 132-133 in the 2011-2012 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog.

Such an easy project when you begin with the above "blank" die-cut. It's already printed for you on beautiful textured card stock. I used my Stampin' Write Marker in Marina Mist to color in the word "friend." I also used Dazzling Details to add some sparkle to Mr. Bee's wings. A few Basic Pearls here and there, and you have a fancy package tie in no time.

To add my tag to the gift bag, I simply used some of Stampin' Up's gorgeous ribbons and embellishments: Marina Mist 1/8" Taffeta ribbon, Very Vanilla 3/8" Velvet Stitched Ribbon and a key from Trinket Keys (121892 set of four $5.95)

I hope you enjoyed this project. Tomorrow I will be showing you another project using the Beau Chateau Side Notes.

Clean and Simple Friday-Valentine

Happy Friday! I'm trying to be more disciplined with my postings and having Clean and Simple Friday is one of my routes to that end!

Here I have created a fun and easy card that really takes just a few tools and could be modified by using any stamped sentiment that you like!

I stamped the "greenery" from Fabulous Florets in Basic Gray about 1/4" from the bottom front of the card. Add a Full Heart punch in Real Red, adhered with 2 Stampin' Dimensionals for a 3-D look.

Use your Two-Way Glue pen to adhere a strip of Real Red Lace Ribbon Border over the stem. I rounded the bottom corners of my card with the Corner Rounder punch.

A close up of my heart "flower" shows my hand-snipped banner with "amour" from the "Artistic Etchings" stamp set. I added a Basic Rhinestone for a bit of glitz.

How do you like it? I am so pleased with how easy this card came together. It would make a sweet Valentine for anyone, oui?

I love your comments, so please leave one! And thank you to all of you who have "pinned" my cards on Pinterest!! I really appreciate it!

CAS Valentine Card Supplies:
Card Stock: Whisper White, Real Red
Stamps: Artistic Etchings, Fabulous Florets
Ink: Basic Gray

Dreams and Sale-A-Bration

Good Wednesday to you! I made this card for my daughter, who has set a goal for this month to begin a business. I'm sure she is going to accomplish this goal very soon (she is a master at keeping on track!) By now, she has received the card in the mail, so I won't ruin the surprise!

I used a bunch of strips of paper I had cut from several retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series papers. The strips were 1" wide. Mary Fish has a great One Minute to Wow video on her site for the technique if you want to see how to make a similar card. It is a fantastic way to use up scraps and is so quick and easy you won't believe it! The sentiment is from Fabulous Phrases.

Notebook Trio and Sale-A-Bration is Almost Here!!

I bought a 4-pack of post-it type pads and they were all different solid covers in matchbook style.

The fourth booklet was a pink color that I could not match with any of my designer papers, so I took the other three: a blue, green and red and found that they coordinated with the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Available during Sale-A-Bration, Jan. 24-Mar. 31).

Each cover got a square of printed paper, a coordinating strip of stripe from the series and a butterfly from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die. I tied a matching ribbon into a bow and added a partial sentiment from the "Thank You Kindly" stamp set.

This is what the back of the books look like. Won't these be a great mini gift to tuck into a card or a lovely hostess gift? You will be able to earn one *FREE* Sale-A-Bration brochure item for every $50 you order with Stampin' Up! beginning TOMORROW through March 31st. More details tomorrow, as well as new My Digital Studio Downloads and a peek at my VERY FIRST scrapbook page done in MDS!

Cherry Lip Gloss-P.S. I Love You

****UPDATE: Here is the link to the recipe for Lip Gloss: Homemade Lip Gloss ****

A pile of puckery shine! I made some home made Cherry Lip Gloss (learned from Pinterest posts), put it into these sweet containers with attached snap lids and then decorated a label for the tops with the "P. S. I Love You" stamp set (heart rings). I spelled out "Cherry" with the "Calendar Alphabet & Numbers" stamp set. I punched the Whisper White 1" circles, then punched out 1-1/4" circles in Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride to frame the labels.

For the bottom of the containers, I used another stamp from "P. S. I Love You" to make a sticky label out of regular Avery labels. I stamped the images close to the bottom edge of the labels (3 images per label).

When I lined up the 1" Circle punch, I let it punch slightly below the line of the label. This way, when you punch it, you have a tab to pull the self-adhesive label off easily.

You can see the flat bottom of the label here. It doesn't really matter, as it is on the bottom of the container.

I took each container and placed it into a Stampin' Up! 3 x 5" Cellophane Bag and tied it with Victoria or Chantilly Crochet Trim. I threaded the Tiny Tags sentiment onto the tie with Whisper White Baker's Twine.

Stampin' Up! Supplies for above project:
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride
Stamps: P. S. I Love You, Calendar Alphabet & Numbers, Tiny Tags
Ink: Real Red, Melon Mambo
Punches: 1" and 1-1/4" Circle, Jewelry Tag
Ribbons: Chantilly and Victoria Crochet Trim, Whisper White Baker's Twine
Etc: Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Marker, 3 x 5" Cellophane Bags
Adhesives: Snail, Sticky Strip

Thank you for visiting my blog! I hope you enjoyed seeing the Valentine project I made for my friends and family. If you need any of these supplies to complete your Valentine Project, I hope you will use my easy Website to order.

PPA127 Sketch Challenge-Perfect BIG Top Birthday!

Welcome to the Pals Paper Arts 127 Challenge--Sketch. Margaret Moody is our sketch artist and she has been providing our sketches faithfully for a couple of years!
This sketch was particularly "challenging" for me (haha) because I only have a Large Oval punch, which looks too small for this sketch, or the Oval Scallop Frame die, which is too large! What to do? (okay, besides place an order for the Ovals Die!)

I was truly CHALLENGED!! I began my project with a medium-sized FRAMELIT Label, which I used to cut out the Real Red balloon from a sheet of "Big Top Birthday" designer series paper. Perfect! I stamped my sentiment from On Your Birthday right onto the balloon using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement using Basic Black ink. Next to the balloon is my sentiment (also from On Your Birthday) stamped in Tempting Turquoise onto Whisper White card stock, then punched out using the 1" Square punch and matted with Real Red card stock. I wrote the "8" myself using my Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Write Marker for a perfect match. The "8" makes my sentiment rhyme!! (My niece turns 8 in the Fall--I'm ahead of the game here!)

The last touch I came up with was this bevy of bouncing "balls" punched from another sheet of Big Top Birthday designer series paper using my 1" Circle punch. You can see the punch captured a bit of the Tempting Turquoise background of the paper, so I didn't have to matt them. I lined them up on the 1" x 3-7/8" piece of Whisper White card stock, adhered them using Stampin' Dimensionals and then matted the Whisper White piece with a 1-1/8" x 4" piece of Real Red card stock.

Thank you for stopping by and please do leave your comments below! I love to read them all! I appreciate your visits!

Designer Series Paper: Big Top Birthday

Punches: 1" Square, 1" Circle

Package Decoration and PPA Preview

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a fantastic week! I made this quick package decoration with a scrap that has been on my desktop forever! You can punch out quite a few of these Large Hearts if you run a half sheet of Blushing Bride card stock through your Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Letterpress Plate that has been inked in Cherry Cobbler ink. Let it dry and start punching!

I adhered the heart to a clothespin with a piece of Sticky Strip, then punched a teeny hole in the upper right corner to attach a Jewelry Tag Punch with a Silver Mini Brad. The tag says "sweet", which is from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set. It's stamped in Crumb Cake to match the gift bag.

Here is the sneak peek of this week's PPA Challenge. Come back tomorrow to see the full reveal. We invite you to play along using your favorite products!

Thank you for visiting my blog and for all of your kind comments. I really enjoy reading each one! I am so thankful for your feedback and for each order that is placed through my Demonstrator Website!

Thank You Kindly Set

Happy Monday! I made a FUN set of Thank You cards using the Thank You Kindly Stamp set and these colors which were inspired by the label on a bottle of liquid soap!

Colors: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze and Lucky Limeade

I used each of the stamps in the set once. For the circles, I stamped with Circle Circus stamp set and then cut out each image using the 3/4", 1" and 1-3/4" circle punches. Then I adhered them in random patterns on my 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" Whisper White squares and ran them through my Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder to make this embedded design.

I added some Circle Circus images in three colors on the flap of each envelope, too!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my Thank You Set-Thank YOU! If you should need any Stampin' Up! supplies for your own projects, please use my Website to order!

Memento Photo Book

Happy Weekend! I created this last weekend, after taking one peek at Amy Celona's 6 x 6" books. I got so excited! I knew that I wanted to make my book with the stamps and papers from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration brochure. The Fresh Vintage Stamp set and the Everyday Enchantment Designer papers coordinate beautifully and use the colors Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Peach Parfait, Calypso Coral, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla and Soft Suede.

I began by creating this lovely element for my cover using the Designer Frames Embossing Folder. I used my sponge dauber and Crumb Cake ink pad to gently distress my edges and then framed the oval with 5/8" Victoria Crochet that I pleated. I used the P. S. I Love You (Occasions Mini) stamp for my sentiment. Then I added the flowers, stamped and snipped closely from Fresh Vintage. The hearts are punched with the small heart punch and along with the flowers are adorned with pearls.

This page is the first page and you could add a Framelit for journaling, or a photo. Also, the front cover could be inscribed with the name of your recipient.

The left page would be great for a photo and the right page would be nice for journaling or adding a memento.

The top page would be great for a larger photo, while the bird page would hold a smaller photo.

These last two pages are perfect for journaling and placing mementos into the pocket created by folding the designer paper down.

Here you can see how I scored a 1/8" edge on the front cover so that I could have lots of depth to my pages without them getting crushed.

I hope you enjoyed my project. You should create one of your own. Pick a color scheme or base it on a Designer Series Paper pack and matching stamp set and very quickly and inexpensively, you have a lovely gift.
