MOJO Monday

Get YOUR Mojo on today at Mojo Monday. I used Kraft card stock as my base. I used the Large Scallop Bigz Die and my Big Shot to quickly cut my Merry Moments print. Inside the print is a circle of Kraft. I inked up a sentiment in Chocolate Chip from Greeting Galore. To the left side I used dimensionals to lift up my Shimmery White double Designer Label punch. There are random Chocolate Chip snowflakes in the center of those and brads anchoring them on the sides. To pop out the Large Scallop Circle, I used a Sakura White Gel pen and make tiny stitches.

Mojo Monday

Obviously short on time around here! Mojo Monday on Tuesday? How could it be? Oh well, I got my Mojo going late Monday night, but finished a couple of projects after that.
This card was a snap. I tried to keep to the sketch, but my large sentiment, which I then decorated, was too big to push into the left-hand corner, so I centered it.
Please leave your comments below, I love to read them.

Card Stock:  Real Red, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Hostess Patterns Pack III
Stamps: Sincere Salutations
Ink: Real Red

Happy Christmas

I really like how this card turned out. The image is in Real Red on Whisper White from the Wandering Words set.  I used Merry Moments ornament print to back the image, then backed it again with a piece of Real Red card stock. Across the top, I added a strip of Old Olive card stock surrounding a snippet of Real Red Petals-a-Plenty and anchored with four gold brads. Around the middle, I tied a piece of Sleigh Bells ribbon. Card base is Chocolate Chip.

Pals Paper Arts #16 Sketch Challenge

Today Pal's Paper Arts has a Sketch Challenge. The sketch is by our Pal, Margaret Moody. You will have fun with this one--I did! The images on Whisper White from the Autumn Days (115452) set are stamped in Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant, Ruby Red and More Mustard. These match the colors in the stripe pattern from Autumn Traditions Designer Series Paper (115668) that I used on the base of my Always Artichoke card. I surrounded each of my punched circles with a punched scalloped square in coordinating colors.  I matted a bracket from my retired Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware with a piece of More Mustard. The hardware frames my Elegant Eggplant sentiment from Grateful Greetings (116511 Holiday Mini Catalog).
I hope you will play along with us at PPA and please do leave your comments below so I know you were here.

Teal Joy

I had so much fun combining colors on this card. It began with some scraps sitting on my desk!
The ornament from Delightful Decorations was already stamped, punched and adorned with the silver cord and punched Melon Mambo swirls. The Barely Banana piece of Eyelet Punched card stock was also sitting there. I added a piece of Basic Black behind that to make it pop, backed it with a piece of Melon Mambo ran through my Big Shot with the Perfect Details Texturz Plate and topped it with a piece of Taken with Teal (retired) Flirty Ribbon Originals. Card base is Taken with Teal. I'm taken with this bright holiday card!

I love to read your comments, so don't go away without leaving one!

Mojo Monday

Good morning! Once again, I was lucky enough to get my Mojo going early! My card base is Kraft with a Really Rust background that is wrapped in Chocolate Chip Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. The next panel was a leftover piece of Very Vanilla that is embossed using a Chocolate Chip "wiped" Harlequin Texturz Plate. I love the feel of this paper after the ink has dried! It makes the impressions deeper, I think. That panel is wrapped with a piece of twill. The last layer is a Brushed Copper piece of cardstock that frames the Very Vanilla with the Chocolate Chip sentiment and decorative leaf images. To one side, completing the sketch is one more Chocolate Chip leaf on Very Vanilla, surrounded by a circle of Chocolate Chip cardstock and fisnished with a knot of linen thread.

Colored Leaves in a Row

I used Autumn Days leaf stamps in More Mustard, Always Artichoke and Ruby Red. They were stamped onto Whisper White card stock and framed with Really Rust and Bravo Burgundy cardstocks. I accented this panel with three Always Artichoke brads. I surrounded the panel with the More Mustard print from Autumn Traditions Designer Series Paper. I topped off the front of the card with a retired piece of Bravo Burgundy Designer Ribbon. I used a snippet if the More Mustard pattern again to line the opening of the Small Open-End Envelope. This is going to be a thank-you card for a dinner we are attending.

I hope you will leave your comments so I know you were here. If you are in need of any Stampin' Up! supplies, I hope you will use my website to order any time, day or night.

Mojo Monday

I apologize for my photo. It's very foggy outside and I couldn't get a good/dry photo! So I relied on my backup plan, the dining room table with what little light is coming through the window. Mojo! It's fun, play along. The sketch this week seemed difficult, but I began with the circle area. I knew I wanted to use my Big Shot, so I ran the Sizzlets and Embosslits through for the snowflake and flower. I had a little bird leftover from deciding should the snowflake be Very Vanilla or Real Red? More Big Shot use for my strips using the dotted swiss Texturz Plate. Merry Moments background paper and an added sentiment which is not really part of the sketch, but I noticed the left corner seemed naked. I hope you enjoy. Please leave a comment so I know you were here. Happy Monday!

Shopping List:
Card Stock: Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Real Red
Designer Series Paper: Merry Moments
Stamps: Fundamental Phrases
Extras:  Heart 2 Heart, Word Window and Modern Label punches, Sizzlets Merry Details, Embosslits Flower Burst, Big Shot, Circle Rhinestone, Stampin' Dimensionals

PPA15 Color Challenge

PPA 15 is a color challenge. Use Ruby Red, Taken with Teal and Basic Gray in your project. Upload it to our challenge website: Pals Paper Arts and join us playing with stamps and paper!
I enjoyed making this card. It's called a Side Step card and the original design is by Jackie Topa. I got my instructions from Julie Davison's tutorial.

The card base involves one cut of your 8-1/2 x 5-1/2" piece of card stock. There are 5 scores. Then you are ready to "decorate" your card base with stamps, bling, punches, etc. I used the Eastern Blooms set and cut out the small flower images to put onto the first and second rows of my card. I left a little room on the back row under the sentiment so I could write a personal message. Here is what the card looks like from the side:

Your card will fit in a regular size envelope.

I hope you enjoy looking at my creation. I would love to read your comments, so please leave one!

Shopping List:
Card Stock: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Ruby Red
Stamps: Eastern Blooms

Falling Leaves

I had so much fun creating this card. First I stamped the border on the left, using the leaf from Darling Dots and thought I'd end up with a clean and simple card. I then envisioned all of those cut out leaves and a wreath of some sort. Well, it isn't round because I chose to surround a definition from Define Your Life, which is a rectangle shape. After I cut out the square matte in Pumpkin Pie card stock, I thought I'd do a line of piercing. During the piercing I saw all those dots on the leaves and thought I'd use one of them for my stencil in two of the corners. I hope you enjoy looking at my card. Please leave me a comment so I know you were here.

Shopping List:
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, textured Pumpkin Pie
Stamps: Define Your Life, Darling Dots
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Sage Shadow
Accessories: Matt Pack Paper Piercer, Stampin' Dimensionals

Mojo Monday

I used my new Embosslits Flower Burst for the first time on this Mojo Monday card. I chose to ink up the die before cutting and it came out nicely, I think. I used Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant to produce the color. I like to wipe my ink pads over the plates for embossing so that you can see the swipe marks. I think it looks cool like that!

Don't forget that Pals Paper Arts is giving away Blog Candy this week-- a nice package of Pink goodies for our Pink Challenge, as shown above. You have until 12PM CST Tuesday, tomorrow, to get your PINK entry uploaded and be eligible to win our blog candy! Please remember to use a fresh creation and provide a DIRECT LINK to your project. We would also love to have you put a link to PPA with your posting so that others can join in and play, too.
